Nutrition coaching at CFX

We are proud to announce that we have launched  nutrition program to provide you with personalized one-on-one nutrition coaching to help you reach your health goals!

Why nutrition coaching?

If we take a look at the Fitness Pyramid we find that at the base (and largest portion) sits "nutrition". Nutrition is the building block to not only fitness, but to a healthy life in general. Without a solid nutritional base other aspects of our life suffer such as exercise, sleep, energy, etc.
This is why we at CFX believe that nutrition coaching is such a vital part of improving one's overall health!

​What has your experience with CFX Nutrition been?

Working with my CFX Nutrition coach has been super helpful! He is a great listener and provides individualized recommendations and feedback. He is super positive and makes you feel understood, heard and safe while discussing potentially vulnerable/sensitive information.

What have you gained? 

I have gained lean body mass (1.25# lean body mass) and have PR’d my sumo deadlift and bench press by 70 and 25 lbs. More importantly I feel that, with Coach Cam’s help, I have established a more sustainable nutrition and exercise plan that will help me reach my goals! I feel that these changes are rooted in sustainable, lifestyle modification. Additionally, I feel that I am exemplifying healthy behavior for my daughter to witness and learn from. 

What have you lost? 

I have lost weight and have lowered my body fat percentage (2#s and down 2.2%). This might not sound dramatic but I am less concerned about timelines and more focused on sustainable change. I feel that with Coach Cam’s help I have been able to put down the need for dieting perfection and understand that the common “on plan” vs “off plan“ mindset is not doable in the long run.

​What has your experience with CFX Nutrition been?

I started this nutrition journey 8 weeks ago because I was feeling “fluffy and off kilter”.  I came to Cameron because I needed an accountability partner and someone to push me a little more than I would do myself. Best decision I have made this year (about my nutrition). I have a meeting with Cam 2 times a month but he checks in with me more often than that. My experience has been great and feel it has been worth my time and money. I feel and look better and am stronger than I knew.

What have you gained? 

I have gained strength, lean muscle mass, confidence and general sense of well being.

What have you lost? 

I have lost weight, body fat, my desire to eat crappy foods, desire to drink much alcohol. I also think my negative self image and negative self talk have lessened immensely.

​What has your experience with CFX Nutrition been?

My CFX Nutrition coach has set me up with a training program to increase my overall strength including a vegan a meal plan with macros and a focused strength cycle. I like having the plan in place. I’m great at counting macros, but there have been a number of life challenges that coincided with the start of the program. Coach Cam has been very understanding and encourages me.

What have you gained? 

My goal was to gain weight, and I have definitely done that! It appears the weight is mostly muscle as ALL of my lifts improve every week and I’m lifting heavier than I thought I would be in this short period of time.

Also, my form has dramatically improved. I’m working out from home and send in videos almost daily. This helps me see the flaws for myself so I can fix them, and when I can’t see them, Coach Cam certainly does and works with me to improve. 

What have you lost? 

I definitely have lost the doubt. In the past, I would get hung up on how much weight was going onto the bar and think to myself, "this is too heavy, I won’t be able to lift it." Sure enough, I wouldn’t be able to, and I would feel validated in that negative mindset. Now, I think, "lets do this!” Sometimes its good and sometimes it doesn’t work, but now I know it was worth a shot and I’ll get it next time.
